Earlier in the week, after a long work day, I came home to a package from Atlanta. What a nice surprise to find that it was filled with goodies for the baby. The outfits were so cute and the wash cloths very needed. We love the picture frame and can't wait to use the hooded towel. Thank you so much Momma B and Big Daddy!

Enjoying the Quiet Times
A couple of wise people, my parents, sent us a card recently. In the message it said, "Take time to enjoy the quiet." That hit home with Fred and me and we often joke about the quiet and how things will be changing very soon when we bring a new baby home. We have been trying to make sure we enjoy quiet times together and often pause for a moment of silence. When I tell people about this just about all of them agree and some even offer that we should record the silence to be able to play it back in the future. While I'm not sure that is necessary we are definitely being cognizant about our special quiet times together.

The Third Trimester
So I've learned that depending on what book or internet site you are following there are some discrepancies as to when someone completes one month and moves to the next. According to www.epregnancy.com the third trimester begins at week 27. According to "What to Expect When You're Expecting" the third trimester begins at week 28. Tomorrow marks week 28 for me so I guess I can "officially" say that I've made it to my last trimester and am in the home stretch.
What's Going On In There?

In the past few weeks, our baby boy has been very active. While before I felt a few movements a couple of times a day, now it is tenfold from what it was. He is getting stronger and is moving around much more frequently. I used to feel a kick or a punch but by the time I got Fred's hand in the right place it was gone. It has been exciting to be able to let him feel the baby as the movements are now longer and stronger. I wonder what he's doing in there.

My most annoying pregnancy symptom
It seems like throughout my pregnancy I continue to experience nosebleeds. Interesting fact - I learned that high levels of hormones in my body produce increased blood flow and that the mucous membranes in the nose begin to swell. Some of the capillaries thin and along with the increased stuffiness that accompanies pregnancy and nose blowing may cause the capillaries to break causing a nose bleed. While generally not that big of a deal it is very weird to see blood in your tissues from time to time.
